Privacy policy
Last updated July 2026
Your privacy matters here, not as a legal formality but because trust is the ground this work stands on. This page explains what information this website collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you send us: your name, email address, and anything you choose to share when you fill out a contact or booking form, or email us directly.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address, if you subscribe to new writing.
- Basic site analytics: usage information such as pages visited and general region, collected through Google Analytics.
What we don't collect here
This website is not a clinical record. Health information shared inside therapy is handled separately, under the confidentiality obligations of a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) and applicable Ontario health-privacy law, and is discussed with you directly at intake.
How your information is used
Only to respond to you, to schedule and manage appointments, and, if you've subscribed, to send you new writing. We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or add you to lists you didn't ask for.
Third-party services
Booking, scheduling, and email delivery are handled by trusted providers who process your information on our behalf: Jane for booking and scheduling, Substack for new writing by email, Netlify for hosting this website and receiving contact-form messages, and Google Analytics for site usage.
Email is not a therapy channel
Please don't send urgent or crisis information through this website. If you're in crisis, call or text 9-8-8 (Canada's suicide crisis helpline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.
Your choices
- You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, using the link in any email.
