What can I expect from the free consultation?
The free consultation is a 20-minute call where we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’d like to get out of it. I’ll ask a few questions to understand how things are affecting your day-to-day and what changes you’re hoping for. I’ll also share a bit about myself and my approach, and answer any questions you have. There’s nothing you need to prepare - just come as you are. The goal is simply to see if working together feels like a good fit.
What do you specialize in?
I primarily work with clients who are struggling with self-esteem, confidence, and anxiety. These challenges often show up in many different ways: perfectionism, self-doubt at work, social anxiety, difficulties trusting yourself, or feeling stuck during life transitions and changes. They can also impact relationships, motivation, and the ability to make decisions that truly align with what you want.
My focus is on helping clients strengthen their sense of self-trust and build resilience. Together, we work on understanding the patterns that keep you feeling held back, and develop tools to create meaningful change. The goal isn’t just to reduce stress or worry, but to help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable of handling whatever life brings.
How long is each session?
Most sessions are 50 minutes. If you’re looking for something shorter and more focused, there’s also the option of a 25-minute half session.
How much do you charge?
Individual Sessions (50 minutes): $170
Couples Sessions (50 minutes): $190
I’ve never been to therapy before. What should I know?
Starting therapy for the first time can feel daunting, and it’s completely normal to feel a bit uncomfortable at the beginning - that discomfort is often a sign of growth.
Early on, we’ll talk about your goals so I have a clear sense of what you’d like to work toward. For some people, it takes a few sessions to build trust and feel comfortable opening up, while for others it happens more quickly. There’s no “right” timeline. Therapy moves at the pace that works best for you.
You can expect therapy to be a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what you’re going through. My role is to support you in understanding yourself more deeply, noticing patterns, seeing new perspectives, and developing tools that strengthen your confidence in handling life’s challenges.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist is an important step. I often suggest booking free consultations with a few different therapists so you can compare how it feels. In these calls, pay attention to whether you feel comfortable, understood, and if their approach and experience align with what you’re looking for. The relationship is a big part of therapy, so it’s worth taking the time to find someone who feels like a good fit.
Do you take insurance?
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I provide a receipt after each session that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Before booking, I recommend checking that your plan covers psychotherapy. As a Registered Psychotherapist, I’ll include my license number on every receipt.
Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
Yes. I offer in-person sessions on Tuesdays at my office in Etobicoke, near Centennial Park. I also provide virtual sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for clients anywhere in Ontario. Evening appointments are available.
What’s the difference between Therapy and Coaching?
Therapy and coaching overlap, but they serve different purposes. Therapy focuses on understanding yourself more deeply, working through challenges like anxiety, self-esteem, or relationship struggles, and creating lasting change. Coaching is more future-focused. It’s about clarifying goals, building strategies, and taking action in areas like work, leadership, or personal growth.
